MOR4Kids Common Grant Application

MOR4Kids created a Common Grant Application in 2024 to coordinate the process of requesting grants. It serves both grant seekers and the MOR4Kids Board.  The Common Grant Application provides guidance to you, the grant seekers/reporting agency, in reporting how funds are to be used and to assist the MORKids Board and Committee in understanding what will be and has transpired through the use of grant funds. The report is an important aspect and product of the grant.

MOR4Kids is looking to you to be reflective, analytical, and evaluative in the best possible way. Your request and report will help identify important results that will enable MOR4Kids to learn from your experience. Your report is documentation not only of your project, but an account that can benefit others in the future.

Explanation of the Report Format: the Common Grant Application consists of three sections:

Section I is a cover sheet that asks for general grant information.

Section II is a narrative. It consists of a series of questions that have been designed to prompt your reflection and report on your experiences and learning and to assist both you and MOR4Kids in monitoring and assessing your grant experience and outcomes.

Section III is a financial report that provides a projected accounting of your expenses. The report is to be signed by both the Grantee, the associated Family Resource Coordinator (FRC), the school Principal, and the MOR4Kids Board President.

If you have questions regarding the completion of the form or would like to attach additional materials, please contact MOR4Kids: info@mor4kids.org

Section I. General Information

Section II. Overall Grant Report

How will the grant expand or make a difference in the quality of the services that you provide and/or in your organizational effectiveness? What circumstances or obstacles impede or limit your work?

What impact will the grant have on the students you serve? Your staff? The community?

Does your school have any remaining funds from previous MOR4Kids distributions? If so, how much?

Section III. Projected Expense Report

Although you may design your projected expense report to suit your needs, your report should include the following:

1.  Heading: Specify the grant period (e.g., January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010).

2.  Account for all project expenses by placing them in line-item categories. The following is a list of possible line items, and your report may include some or all of these and others. Please add any additional items that are relevant to your project.
